Input and Output:

When you step on the foot the oil in the drum and being pushed down, and through that action it multiples the pressure so it will be able to slow down the discs, and there for stopping the car. For air brakes it works completely different from the hydraulic brakes. When the pedals are pushed an air pump pumps air into the side of the brake, and because air must go somewhere or else it will blow up, all the air is pushed towards the brakes to force it to slow down.
